Production planner

We are looking for an experienced production planner to join our dynamic team. The candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating and optimizing production activities in order to meet deadlines, product quality and resource efficiency.


He must also be able to communicate effectively with staff in other departments, such as production, customer service and purchasing.


The holder of this position is a member of the operational committee.


Responsibilities of the position:

  • Develop and monitor production planning
  • Coordinate the needs for raw materials with purchases
  • Analyze production capacities and adjust loads
  • Collaborate with the manufacturing, quality and logistics teams
  • Ensure compliance with delivery deadlines
  • Optimize the use of resources and reduce waste
  • Use of ERP/MRP
  • Manage unforeseen events and adjust schedules accordingly
  • Participate in production meetings
  • Track production-related performance indicators (KPIs)

 

Required skills:

  • 5 years of experience as a planner and production implementation
  • Diploma in production management, logistics or other relevant training
  • Mastery of an ERP tool
  • Mastery of Lean Manufacturing
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Rigor

Régis Pettigrew, it's in his blood!

Wood has always been a passion for Régis Pettigrew. From the age of 16, he was working with a smile on his face and ideas in action... "It was in his blood!" A man of great versatility, curious and a jack-of-all-trades, Régis soon found himself holding a variety of jobs at Martin: supervisor, trainer, member of the improvement team and safety officer. In short, he's a true passionate who's keen to pass on the flame of woodworking and share his knowledge with as many people as possible.

Michel Madore, coordinating the future

By the age of 13, Michel Madore was already working. His father, a friend of Mr. Jocelyn Martin, founder of Martin Windows and Doors, ran his own small carpentry business. It was there that Michel developed a taste for calculation, amidst sawdust and tools. Working at Martin since 1987, Michel draws up his action plan with the assurance of a veteran and the precision of an accountant, every morning from Monday to Friday. "I make every decision as if it were my own. Product excellence is a personal matter for me. It's not complicated... in my head, my boss is the customer."

Sandra Levasseur, the power of listening

Since 2013, she's been carefully listening to people's projects, perched on the second floor of Martin Windows and Doors. As a customer coordinator, she links the customer with our facilities, the need with our expertise and the service with... a smile. In the tone of her voice, you can hear her concern for others and her singular talent for building confidence with few words. Véronique Charest is a woman of the field. Working in the sanding and cutting sector at Martin Windows and Doors, she never returns to work "backwards". She's not afraid of a challenge; she thrives on problem-solving and big tasks. A woman in a man's environment, Véronique has no trouble keeping up with the pace and describes her colleagues as attentive team members.
